PEACE OF MIND FOR ONLY $59
NSW legislation requires STRA hosts to provide an emergency information booklet to assist visitors who may be less familiar with the property and the local area. By identifying hazards specific to the location of the property, providing relevant information sources and emergency contact details, guests will be equipped with the knowledge of what to do in the unlikely even of an emergency.
Simply complete a brief questionnaire upon purchase and you’ll receive your customised, property specific Emergency Information Booklet in your inbox today!
Included in your Emergency Information Booklet:
This booklet provides property managers and home owners alike the peace of mind that should an emergency situation arise, you have provided your guests with a thorough and comprehensive guide addressing, in detail, every requirement as identified by the NSW Government.
Your Emergency Information Booklet is individually compiled to take into account the specific location of the property. Within 3-5 minutes, you’ll have a fully comprehensive, personalised guide of what to do, who to call and where to find valuable information in the event of an emergency or disaster.
LOCAL HAZARDS:
A comprehensive list of local hazards specific to the location of the property will be provided.
Our software will automatically select the most likely hazards your guests will encounter in the immediate area.
As every property is in a unique location, our interactive tool will allow you to either add additional hazards from our library or remove those that you feel may not be relevant.
Each identified hazard will receive a comprehensive summary of the safety advice provided by the appropriate professional body such as the SES, RFS, BOM, Parks NSW and more.
Approximately 8 -10 hazards are automatically identified for most homes
EMERGENCY SERVICES:
A comprehensive list of local and state emergency services will be provided for quick easy reference in an emergency.
Identification of the appropriate services your guest should contact in a wide variety of emergency situations as well as where to source additional information, such as flood updates, bushfire warnings, tsunami evacuation maps and much more.
In addition to emergency services, vital information such as local council and local radio station frequencies broadcasting emergency information will be provided.
Should you wish, our interactive platform will allow you to add you’re preferred emergency plumber and electrician as required by the STRA legislation. Furthermore, for the over cautious you also have the option to list a local an after hours doctor and late night chemist.
Approx. 10 emergency services are listed for most homes along with additional local services.
EMERGENCY APPS:
Emergency smart-phone apps can help save lives.
In the event of an emergency your guests will find a list of popular emergency apps that help to keep them updated with local emergency situations as they unfold, such as floods, storms, fires and tsunami.
These apps can also provide invaluable advice on what your guest should do and when, such as when to stay where they are or when to evacuate.
Approx. 10 emergency apps are provided for most homes.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
All STRA owners are required to meet minimum fire safety regulations.
As part of this legislation you will need to provide certain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and fire blankets for specific building types and you may prefer to provide these regardless as an additional safety measure.
Your customised Emergency Information Booklet will identify precisely where the equipment is located within your property for quick easy access in the event of an emergency.
EVACUATION KIT:
The SES and RFS recommend to all households to have on the ready an emergency evacuation kit - why not have one for your guests, on hand and ready in the event of a natural disaster.
We will provide you with a comprehensive list of equipment that the SES and RFS have advised you provide so you can compile the kit yourself.
Alternatively, should you not provide the kit then the comprehensive list will be included in the Emergency Information Booklet meaning your guest will have the opportunity to gather essential items from around the home should they need to evacuate.
QUICK REFERENCE:
In an emergency every second counts.
It is vital that your guests are able to access the appropriate emergency services and information sources we have provided as quickly as possible.
To aid with this we will compile the most important contacts numbers and website links onto a fridge magnet for easy reference.
